National Ice Cream Month and FREE ICE CREAM!!

Did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month?? Well, what better excuse to grab a nice chocolaty cold treat, right!!

We had the fabulous opportunity to sample some really great treats. Klondike Mint Chocolate Chip Bar, Klondike What the Fudge? Brownie Sandwich, Klondike Choco Taco, and My FAVORITE REESE’S Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cups!!

I will start off with telling you all about my favorite, of course. I love all things chocolate, and when you throw ice cream into the mix, well lets just say, it is my weakness. My favorite candy is REESE's Cups, because I also LOVE all things peanut butter, so when I found out that REESE's came out with Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cups, I was THRILLED!! When my package arrived, I was like a kid in a candy store, or Ice Cream store, I guess.

Anyway, let me just tell you that this probably the best Ice cream that I have had in a very very long time. I have to admit, I did not share any of them with anyone else in the house. I did not eat them all at once, I promise, but I did eat them all!!

The Klondike ice creams were also delicious. The children loved them, and were really surprised that Mommy was giving them ice cream, so many days in a row!! The Klondike Mint Chocolate Chip was GREAT, I like the flavor of mint, and the chocolate and ice cream added to it was Divine!!

The Klondike What the Fudge? Brownie Sandwich was probably the favorite of the kiddos, while my husband really liked the Choco Tacos. I highly recommend all of these ice creams!! They were delicious!! I think this face sums it up!!

Purex Crystals!!

I was recently selected as a Purex Insider, which means that I get to share my thoughts on their new products with you guys. I love being able to tell you all about new things.

I was recently sent a sample of Purex Complete Crystals Softener. It is the neatest stuff, it is a fabric softener, but is not a liquid or a sheet, it is crystals.

They are not oil based, which I love. I hate it when I use softener on my towels, and they begin to repel water rather than absorbing it. Since I started using the Crystals, I have not had that problem.

I also LOVE the scent, it is fresh but not overwhelming. I think some softeners can just be too strong, this one seems to be just right for me. I also love the convenience of the crystals. You just sprinkle them in the washer at the beginning of the load and forget about it.

I have not had any problems with staining or leaving greasy marks on the clothes, which has happened in the past when I have used different liquid softeners.

Over all, I LOVE this product. I don't usually get super excited about new things, but this is (in my opinion) worth it. I will definitely be looking for this the next time I stop at the grocery store.

Spring and Summer are on the Way, helpful products!!

Party food and beverage machines are always fun to have.  I love the look that a popcorn maker of drink fountain can give at a party.  You would also be surprised how many times you can use them at various events.  The Bed and Bath Store offer several options to choose from.  My favorite in this category would have to be the Nostalgia Electrics Old Fashioned Movietime Popcorn Maker, and for only $39.99, I think that is a pretty good price.

With Summer right around the corner, it is time to start thinking about how to keep the electric bill down.  One way to do that is by hanging thermal lined curtains to keep the heat out.  The Bed and Bath Store has a good selection on Thermo Acrylic Suede Backed Panels - Thermal Curtain Liner Panel.  The price on these curtains is reasonable, starting at $17.99 per panel, you should check them out.

Outdoor chair pads are also a must for the summer time.  When the weather warms up, we all like to spend a little extra time outside.  Having a nice and comfy place to sit down makes it even more appealing.  One of the quickest ways to spruce up your outdoor area is to add new cushions, and The Bed and Bath Store offer a nice selection in a variety of prints and colors.

Do you need ink??

I don't know about you guys, but we go through ink like crazy around here. Although you have to have it, I hate to buy it because it seems the price keeps going up. Anytime I can find a less expensive alternative, it makes me very happy.

Inkgrabber.com has tons of "cheap ink" for you to choose from.  They have several brands to choose from, so they are sure to have the one you need. 

The inkjet cartridges are priced very reasonably, and I think they are a great deal for the most part.  So, the next time you run out, and are thinking about going to the store for more printer ink, be sure to hop over and check out Inkgrabber.com.

Make sure you "keep tabs" on your ink supply.  Once you find a great source that has fabulous prices, you want to make sure you stay stocked up.  If you run out and have to go buy one from the store while you are waiting for your order to come it, you will not be saving that much money.  However, if you keep track and always make sure you have one on had, it will be so much easier to save on your supplies.

Baskin Robbins for Valentines Day!!

I love flowers for Valentines day, but bring me an ice cream cake and you win the prize!! Ice cream is one of my FAVORITE foods, even though I do not eat it a lot. Baskin Robbins has the perfect gift for Valentines day, three super yummy cakes that will make you cry tears of happiness!!

Valentines Gift!!

I am sure we all love to get that big red box of chocolate on Valentines day, but although chocolate is nice I do appreciate gifts that I can use. You know, shower gels, body sprays, things that make you feel special and extra girly!!

I recently had the opportunity to review some bubble bath and massage oil from Pure Romance. I have to say that I think the bubble bath smells great, and what girl doesn't like to take a long hot bubble bath at the end of an extremely long day??

The massage oil is also nice, when I can squeeze in time to sit down long enough to get a massage.

Overall I think the products were great, and would be a really nice gift for Valentines day, or any other occasion.

Are your hands cold?

Do you guys get cold hands and feet often? I do, especially when I am outside for extended periods of time during the winter. Don't get me wrong, I live in the south, and it is not super cold here, but cold enough.

Our neighboring town has a Christmas parade every year, at night. I have been on a float for the past two years, and it is COLD!! So, last year I figured out how to keep my hands and feet a little warmer, I used
Hand Warmers and Foot Warmers.

They are the neatest little things, you open the package, shake it up a little and slip it in your glove or shoe. It is that simple, and you have warmth that will last for a long time.

Pillsbury Mini Biscuits Review and Giveaway!!

Do you guys like biscuits? My family sure does, so I was super excited to have the opportunity to review Pillsbury Mini Biscuits!! These things are fabulous, and you can do so much with them. Although I have to admit, we did not get very creative!! We made mini sausage and jelly biscuits for breakfast, but that is what my family likes, so that is what we made.

What I really love about the mini biscuits, is the convenience!! They come in a bag in the frozen section. When you are ready to use them, you simply take them out, put them on a pan, and into the oven!!

Seventh Generation Review and Giveaway!!

Although I have seen Seventh Generation products before, I must admit that I was not very familiar with them until recently.  I had the opportunity to review Seventh Generation disinfecting wipes, cleaner, facial tissue, and paper towels. 

It was really nice to have a product that does not have an overpowering chemical smell, but still cleans well.  As a mother of five children, I am always hesitant about using cleaners that contain harsh chemicals, and cleaners that produce strong smells.  I was very pleasantly surprised with the Seventh Generation products.  I found that the disinfecting wipes and cleaner all worked very well without the strong scent. 

The tissue and paper towels were also great.  The facial tissue was super soft, and the paper towels were very absorbent.  I would definitely purchase them and use them to clean my home.

Crystal Deodorant Review and Giveaway!!

Recently I had the opportunity to review Crystal deodorant. To begin with I was unfamiliar with the brand and the product. It turns out that the Crystal deodorant brand was established in 1984, and is the original mineral salt deodorant. Instead of using harsh chemicals, Crystal deodorant is an all natural product. The salt in the deodorant creates a barrier between your skin and bacteria.

I am personally not a roll-on fan, but I gave it a try. I was very surprised. It went on with out any residue, which means no nasty white marks on your clothes. I was also surprised to see that it did last all day, and here in South Carolina it has been pretty hot and nasty outside. If it can stand up to these conditions, it is good.

Overall I really like the product, and would recommend it to others. It is so rare to actually find a product that delivers on it's promises, but this did.

Now, for the even better part. Crystal deodorant is on sale at CVS from $3.99 to $5.99 (depending on the type).

Summer Treat!!

At our house, Ice cream is a real treat, and the kids love it!!  Recently I was lucky enough to review the Breyers Smooth and Creamy.  It was Fabulous!!  I decided to get the Chocolate Caramel Brownie Sandwiches, and needless to say they did not last very long.  The taste was wonderful, and it was just enough to give you a chocolate fix!!

There are several flavors to choose from, I think I will try the Vanilla Fudge Brownie flavor next.  Doesn't that just sound too good to be true??

Who Loves Brownies??

I do!! In our house, brownies are a big hit, it really does not matter what type or flavor they are, the kids LOVE them. Try to imagine, if you will, how many brownies FIVE kids can gobble up!!

Baby Look-alike Meter Review!!

Have you, or do you know someone who has, had a conversation that goes a little something like this, "She is so cute, but I think she looks more like her dad"?

With all of our children we have heard the same thing, some people think our children look just like their dad, while others think they look like me. I cannot seem to tell who they look like.

Well, if you have that problem too, there is now a cute and fun little tool that can settle the dispute for you. The Baby Look-alike Meter will tell you who your child looks more like. I really think this is such a neat idea.

The Baby Look-alike Meter is a product of MyHeritage.com. To use this tool, you simply upload a photo of your child, along with a photo of Mom and Dad. Once all of the photos are in, the meter will let you know who your child looks more like. You can even post the results on your facebook and blog profile.

Signing up for an account is easy, and FREE. Once you sign up, and upload your photos, you will have the result. What a great way to settle that little dispute, or should I say discussion, in your family, and talk about a good conversation piece.

The Girls From Ames, Great Book Review!!

I had the opportunity recently to review the book, "The Girls From Ames, A story of Women and a forty-year relationship". This book was fabulous; I usually do not read this type of book. Self-help books and devotionals are more my style, but I gave it a shot.

The book is about a group of 11 girls from a small town in Iowa. The book details their childhood and the friendship they have shared throughout their lives. It goes through both the ups and downs of their friendship, as well as their lives. I thought it was such a motivating book, and it left me hoping that when I am that age, I can have friendships that have weathered the test of time as well.

There are so many characters, and I could relate to some of them. I could also think of certain people in my life that related to some of the other characters. I love the fact  that it is a "real" book about "real" people.

I highly recommend this book, even if you do not usually read this genre.

Diva Defined!!

Okay ladies, I don't know about you, but pregnancy and child birth left me with some ugly side effects. I am talking about a little "pudge pudge" here and a little "jiggle jiggle" there. So, what can you do about it when diet and exercise just won't hide it??

There is an answer, Diva Defined!! Diva Defined is a line of products was released by Annette International. I was contacted to review two of the Diva products, the Diva Express Long Leg, and the Top Notch Diva Cami. I have fallen in love with both of these products!! The cami is probably my favorite, and that is probably because I am a "layer girl". Yes, that's right, I layer my tops all year long, so needless to say I have a drawer full of camis. What makes this cami my favorite is the fact that it has an invisible belt on the inside that lets you choose how much control you need. I also love the fact that when I am wearing it and bend over, everything up top remains covered. No more peep shows when you have to bend down, it covers what needs to be covered. Did I mention that I love it!!

The Diva Defined long legs are wonderful as well. They also have a built in invisible belt in the back that lets you adjust the amount of control that you want. This allows you to cover up the pudge and jiggle, fantastic.

If you have been reading my blog for any length of time you know that I only give positive reviews to items that I honestly like and feel are quality products. The Diva line is just that. Both of the products that I was lucky enough to sample were well made, comfortable, and pretty on top of all that. Even though I am a frugal blogger, and these products may not be what some consider frugal, certain things are worth the splurge. After all, when you look good you feel good, and quality products like this are made to last. I would love to have one of the camis in every color!!
