Purex Crystals!!

I was recently selected as a Purex Insider, which means that I get to share my thoughts on their new products with you guys. I love being able to tell you all about new things.

I was recently sent a sample of Purex Complete Crystals Softener. It is the neatest stuff, it is a fabric softener, but is not a liquid or a sheet, it is crystals.

They are not oil based, which I love. I hate it when I use softener on my towels, and they begin to repel water rather than absorbing it. Since I started using the Crystals, I have not had that problem.

I also LOVE the scent, it is fresh but not overwhelming. I think some softeners can just be too strong, this one seems to be just right for me. I also love the convenience of the crystals. You just sprinkle them in the washer at the beginning of the load and forget about it.

I have not had any problems with staining or leaving greasy marks on the clothes, which has happened in the past when I have used different liquid softeners.

Over all, I LOVE this product. I don't usually get super excited about new things, but this is (in my opinion) worth it. I will definitely be looking for this the next time I stop at the grocery store.

How do you get started with coupons??

I know that some of you who read my blog are "savings experts" while others may just be starting your coupon journey. I wanted to post some of the basics as information for those who are new, and a refresher for the veterans.

Where do you begin?
The most important thing to do is keep you ENTRIE COUPON INSERT!! This is so important, because even if you don't think you need it, it may go on sale for only pennies.

The second most important thing to do is, drop brand loyalty!! What does this mean? It means that you can save more money if you are open to using different brands. I know this is a tough one for some, but trust me you will save tons of money this way.

Develop a coupon organization system. There are several different methods out there, and what works for some does not work for others. It takes a little trial and error to find out what works best for you. You can read my post here about the Couponizer.

Plan it out!!  It is so important to be armed with a list and a plan when you go to the grocery store!!  You have to know where you are going, if you ever hope to get there!!  Visiting the store without a list is like taking a long trip without a map or GPS!!
