National Ice Cream Month and FREE ICE CREAM!!

Did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month?? Well, what better excuse to grab a nice chocolaty cold treat, right!!

We had the fabulous opportunity to sample some really great treats. Klondike Mint Chocolate Chip Bar, Klondike What the Fudge? Brownie Sandwich, Klondike Choco Taco, and My FAVORITE REESE’S Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cups!!

I will start off with telling you all about my favorite, of course. I love all things chocolate, and when you throw ice cream into the mix, well lets just say, it is my weakness. My favorite candy is REESE's Cups, because I also LOVE all things peanut butter, so when I found out that REESE's came out with Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cups, I was THRILLED!! When my package arrived, I was like a kid in a candy store, or Ice Cream store, I guess.

Anyway, let me just tell you that this probably the best Ice cream that I have had in a very very long time. I have to admit, I did not share any of them with anyone else in the house. I did not eat them all at once, I promise, but I did eat them all!!

The Klondike ice creams were also delicious. The children loved them, and were really surprised that Mommy was giving them ice cream, so many days in a row!! The Klondike Mint Chocolate Chip was GREAT, I like the flavor of mint, and the chocolate and ice cream added to it was Divine!!

The Klondike What the Fudge? Brownie Sandwich was probably the favorite of the kiddos, while my husband really liked the Choco Tacos. I highly recommend all of these ice creams!! They were delicious!! I think this face sums it up!!

Pillsbury Mini Biscuits Review and Giveaway!!

Do you guys like biscuits? My family sure does, so I was super excited to have the opportunity to review Pillsbury Mini Biscuits!! These things are fabulous, and you can do so much with them. Although I have to admit, we did not get very creative!! We made mini sausage and jelly biscuits for breakfast, but that is what my family likes, so that is what we made.

What I really love about the mini biscuits, is the convenience!! They come in a bag in the frozen section. When you are ready to use them, you simply take them out, put them on a pan, and into the oven!!

Simply Saline review and Giveaway!!

Well, with the winter season upon us, you know what that means, colds and the flu!! With five children in our house, it seems like someone is always sick, which is the main reason we always keep the Simply Saline nasal spray on hand. Roundabouts Review and Giveaway!!

Today, I have the pleasure of reviewing Roundabouts, have you heard of them?? I had not, until recently, but I have to say they came up with a great idea!! Roundabout makes cupcake sleeves, Fabulous!! I love how easy this makes dressing up your cupcakes.

Roundabouts come in a cute little package, with over 70 designs to choose from. I was able to review the holiday Nutcracker sleeves. One dozen sleeves came in the package, along with ideas on how to decorate the cupcakes, to make them look super cute.

The Roundabout sleeves are very easy to use, they come with a sticky part on one end of the sleeve, to make applying them quick.

We make a lot of cupcakes here, you know we have tons of little ones, so something like this, that makes it fun and interesting for the kids is great news for me.

Rada Cutlery Giveaway!!

I am soooo excited about the Rada Cutlery giveaway and review!! Let me begin by telling you that I am very particular about my kitchen knives. I love my Rachel Ray Furi knives, they are awesome, but they are very expensive (or at least for me). With that being said, I was a little skeptical going into the review, because I had not found a good quality yet affordable knife up to this point.

Wow, was I impressed. I have to say that I LOVE these knives, they are awesome!! I was lucky enough to be able to review the Rada Cutlery Cook's knife and Regular Paring knife. The Cook's knife has the same shape as my big RR knife, but it is a more manageable size for me. I love that!! It also seems to keep a sharp blade for a long time. The paring knife works very well too, we love using it on fruit!!

Another neat thing about this company is that they offer fundraisers. So, if you have an organization that needs to raise money, this would be an excellent idea!!

I can not tell you how much I have enjoyed these knives, and I do plan to buy more of them, I would love to get the bread knife.

Smiley Cookies!!

Today is the big day, the Giveaway bash starts today!! The first giveaway here on Savin' Some is for Smiley Cookies. You can imagine how much we like cookies here, with five children in the house!! Well, I have to say that Smiley Cookies are some of the cutest that I have seen.

I was fortunate enough to be able to sample them, and they are fantastic. They arrive in a cute little box, decorated with Smiley faces. We tried the Original Smiley cookies, and they had cute little Smiley faces on the cookies.

As far as taste goes, they were very fresh and the taste was great. The directions say they also freeze well, but I have to admit that we did not have any left over to freeze!!

One of the neatest things about this company is that you can design your own cookies!! You get to pick the shape, color, and icing color. You can also decide to go with one of their baskets, which look like great Christmas gifts if you know a cookie lover!!

Seventh Generation Review and Giveaway!!

Although I have seen Seventh Generation products before, I must admit that I was not very familiar with them until recently.  I had the opportunity to review Seventh Generation disinfecting wipes, cleaner, facial tissue, and paper towels. 

It was really nice to have a product that does not have an overpowering chemical smell, but still cleans well.  As a mother of five children, I am always hesitant about using cleaners that contain harsh chemicals, and cleaners that produce strong smells.  I was very pleasantly surprised with the Seventh Generation products.  I found that the disinfecting wipes and cleaner all worked very well without the strong scent. 

The tissue and paper towels were also great.  The facial tissue was super soft, and the paper towels were very absorbent.  I would definitely purchase them and use them to clean my home.

Crystal Deodorant Review and Giveaway!!

Recently I had the opportunity to review Crystal deodorant. To begin with I was unfamiliar with the brand and the product. It turns out that the Crystal deodorant brand was established in 1984, and is the original mineral salt deodorant. Instead of using harsh chemicals, Crystal deodorant is an all natural product. The salt in the deodorant creates a barrier between your skin and bacteria.

I am personally not a roll-on fan, but I gave it a try. I was very surprised. It went on with out any residue, which means no nasty white marks on your clothes. I was also surprised to see that it did last all day, and here in South Carolina it has been pretty hot and nasty outside. If it can stand up to these conditions, it is good.

Overall I really like the product, and would recommend it to others. It is so rare to actually find a product that delivers on it's promises, but this did.

Now, for the even better part. Crystal deodorant is on sale at CVS from $3.99 to $5.99 (depending on the type).
