Time, what to do with it!!

Time, we all have it, but how do we spend it? If you are anything like me, you probably spend the majority of it cleaning, breaking up arguments and fights, and driving "little people" everywhere!! At times I just feel overwhelmed, and to be honest, totally unmotivated!!

I hate to even admit that, but it's true.  Sometimes I spend so much time worrying about what to spend my time on, that I forget the most important factor in the decision, God.

While visiting a church this past Sunday, the pastor gave a message on time.  One of the things that he pointed out was that "Following your heart is not what you should do, unless your heart follows Jesus".  Wow, I have to say that I have never quite thought of things this way, but I should start.

I think we all, or most of us, spend a good bit of time trying to figure out exactly what we are supposed to do with our lives.  We can get so caught up in our own wants and interests that we forget that God can see the "bigger" picture, and if he can see the bigger picture, shouldn't we seek his advice and guidance.  After all, we can only see what is right in front of us, we lack the ability to see over the next mountain, but God can see it all.

So, the next time you get all frazzled and are rushing here and there, take a second and stop and ask God what he wants you to do.  After all, the time we have is limited, so shouldn't we spend it in the best possible way.

A little motivation!!

I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I just need a little motivation. Sometimes it seems as if all of the circumstances surrounding you can weigh you down so much that it feels like you can not move, like you are stuck in one spot. I love this song, it talks about God taking the shackles off of your feet so you can dance and praise him. You know, through all of the trials we have been through especially in this past year, I have learned that if you can just praise Him, no matter what, you will be blessed and you will bless others as well.

I hope you enjoy!!

Inspiration Monday!!

It has been a while since I did an Inspiration Monday post, but I just felt the need to post this for you all. Yesterday in Church, my pastor gave a sermon on promises. Promises that God has made, and promises that he has not made. It is so easy to get angry when we feel like the whole world is crashing down, and things are not going the way we want them to. So often we feel that we have been treated unfairly, or even forgotten about. Many of us have been led to believe that if we believe and have enough faith, our lives will be forever happy.

This simply is not the case. However, the promise that God did make to us is that he would give us the Grace and Mercy to deal with whatever circumstances we face.

What an awesome promise!!

The name of this song is Our God. This is probably my favorite part of the song:

"And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us?
If our God is with us, then what could stand against"

I hope you enjoy!!

Be Near

There are times when we all need inspiration. Sometimes we get so caught up in what is happening all around us, and we forget what we really need. What we need is for God to be near. This is a great song about God being near. As you play the video, close your eyes and listen to the words. I hope this gives you the inspiration that it has given me today.

In Better Hands Now!

This song always reminds me that even when bad things happen, we as Christians are always in better hands now. My favorite part of the song is the part that says "It's like the breath of Jesus is right here in this room", what a powerful thought. I hope this brings a little inspiration to your day.

You're Not Alone!!

This is a great song, that reminds us that even in the moments that we feel everyone else is gone, we are never alone. Take a minute and listen to the words, let them inspire you today.

Do Companies Value Honest Customer Feedback?

I have been wondering about this. I am from a retail background, and the retail companies that I worked for in the past always valued customer feedback. They looked at it as a way to see how the employees were doing. When my youngest child was born I bought several Avent bottles. I had used avent with my two older children and never had a problem with them. Well, these were completely different. All of the bottles leaked, it was terrible. I sent the company an email, and much to my surprise they emailed me back with a list of things that I was probably doing wrong. This was my third child, I already know pretty much all you can know about bottles. I was a little, no Very disappointed at the response that I received from the company.

Last week I was using my Swiffer, which I use all of the time and love, and it literally broke in two places. The top of the the handle broke off and the bottom part that holds the pad on broke off. I have only had this one for about 4 months, so I was very disappointed with that. I decided to email the company and let them know what happened. Much to my surprise they emailed me back that same day, thanking me for my feedback. They apologized that I had a bad experience, and said they would follow up by mail within three weeks. Today when I checked the mail there was on envelop with a letter from customer service, a coupon for a free swiffer starter kit, two coupons for Venus razors, a sample of Tide Total Care, and a coupon for Tide Total Care. This company really does have Great customer service.

Although you may not always get a good response, if you have a product that malfunctions, or is of poor quality I would highly suggest letting that company know about your experience. You may not always get a replacement, but at least maybe they can correct the defect so others will not have to get a bad product too.

Inspiration Monday!!

I just finished reading a book by Joyce Meyer, it was about how to be a confident woman. This book is full of motivational advise for women. One of the points that she talked about was how we should not let fear stop us from trying new things. I have to admit that I have been guilty of this, but after reading the book I decided that I was going to be confident and try doing some of the things that I have always wanted to do, but didn't because I thought I would not be good at them. So, this is a picture of my new venture. I have had a sewing machine for years, and never really used it because I did not know how. Well, I pulled it out, looked up some free patterns from the Internet, and started sewing. It really was not as hard as I thought it would be. I know my little shoes and two diapers are not great, but I have to admit that I was proud of them.

I made them with things that I already had around the house. So not only did I learn to sew a little, I recycled some old baby blankets and fabric scraps from other craft projects at the same time.

I look at this as my start to being a more confident woman, however small it may be.

Do you have a good tip or piece of advise on being a confident woman, leave me a comment and let me know all about it.

Inspiration Monday!!

Blessed!! My inspiration this week is how blessed we are. I am not referring to money, because we are in no way rich, but all of the blessings that God gives us. I am so thankful that we serve a loving and compassionate God. A God who loves us so very much. When I think about all that I have been blessed with; my family, friends, church, home, and so many more things, it fills my heart with joy.

I want to help spread these blessings and the Word of God, so that others can know that feeling too. Christmas is not far away, and this is a Ministry that my family and I participate in every year. Operation Christmas Child, below is some information taken from their website, that explains what they do.

"Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ."

Just taking a shoe box and filling it with little things, can completely change the life of a child in another country. When the boxes are sent into the distribution center, The Gospel of Jesus Christ is also added to the boxes before they are shipped out. You can visit the website, Samaritan's Purse, to get more information on how you can get involved and change the lives of children all over the world.

We make it a family event at our house. It is such a great way to teach Children that there is more to Christmas than Santa Clause. You don't have to fill the boxes with expensive things, if you are a CVSer you probably have a box full of free items laying around. When these children receive their little boxes, it shows them that there are people who care about them. What a wonderful way to share the love of Christ.

Inspiration Monday!!

"I Will Not Be Moved", that is the title of one of my favorite songs. It is by Natalie Grant. The title of the song says it all, but I want to talk about the words of the song.

"I will stumble, I will fall down, but I will not be moved. I will make mistakes, I will face heartache, but I will not be moved. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, I will not be moved.
Bitterness has plagued my heart many times before, my life has been like broken glass, and I have kept the score of all my shattered dreams and though it seemed that I was far to gone, MY brokenness helped me to see, It's grace I'm standing on"

It is so easy to get bitter when things do not work out as you would like for them to, or when you find out about others who are trying to bring you down. However, it is at these times that it is most important to stand on that solid rock, and hold tight to the hand of God, after all you may stumble and even fall, but God will never let go.

There are times that you just have to let go of disappointments and even people who try so hard to weaken your faith and make you fall. After all, all other ground is sinking sand! Don't ever let anyone take your faith from you or make it weak, because when it all comes down to it, sometimes the other things are just not worth it.

Inspiration Monday!!

What do we center our lives around? There are so many things going on all of the time, that it is easy to get off track and put different things at the center of our lives. But what if we stop for a moment, and put God at the center of our lives. How impactful would we be then. Sometimes we don't realize how many people we impact with our live (our family, friends, co-workers, neighbors) wouldn't it be great if they could see God at the center of our lives. Just imagine all of the things we could accomplish for him, and how far we could spread his word. In the Bible when God is telling Moses that he wants him to go into Egypt and lead his people out, Moses asked God what he should say when he was asked who sent him. God simply replied, "Thus you should say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you"(Exodus 3:14). Moses also asked God "Who am I", Moses felt unworthy of the task, but God had a plan for him. Moses made a HUGE impact because he followed God. Just imagine what we could do if we just follow God. God has a plan for all of us, you may ask yourself the same question, "Who am I", the answer is; you are the one God has chosen, you are a child of God, and you have the power to change the world and bring Glory to His name.

Inspiration Monday!!

Inspiration Monday.
At Church yesterday, my Pastor said something that made me stop and think. He said, "We were created to Love, and be Loved", what a wonder thought. God created us to Love and be Loved. We have so much love to give, and we are loved by so many. That thought just warms my heart. God loves us so much, and we should share that love with everyone around us; our family, friends, and even people that we randomly bump into. We should strive to be examples of God's love to everyone.

Inspiration Monday!!

Letting your light shine. As Christians we are supposed to let our light shine for Christ, and there are so many different ways to do this. God gives different talents to different people. Some have the talent to speak, sing, and teach. However, there are other talents out there that we may not recognize as easily as the above mentioned, such as; listening, praying, or just being a good friend. People watch us in everything that we do, even when we don't realize it, so we should always be aware of how, or rather who, our light is shining on. How do you let your light shine for Christ? Leave me comment about the wonderful talents God has blessed you with, and how you use those to show others his glory.
