What is your job description???
I usually do not blog about things like this, but a recent trip to the ER with my oldest child really got to me. While we were back in the exam room, the registration person came by to register my daughter. She was going through the list of usual questions, and she got to the all dreaded question, "Where do you work?". When I replied that I was a stay at home mother, she quickly replied, "Oh, well then you are unemployed". I don't know why, but that really bothered me. It was not only the remark, but the look that went with it. You all know the look I am referring to, the "you are so lazy" look. All of that motivated me to write out the job description of a stay at home mother.
So what is it that all of us "unemployed stay-at-home moms" do? Where do I begin!! Here is my list.
Home economist, master chef, dietitian, teacher (pre-school or home school), nursery worker, handy woman, plumber (someone has to get all of those toys out of the toilet), electrician (when the toys stop working, we have to fix them), maid, painter, author, master story teller, chauffeur, administrative assistant (who else can keep track of all the crazy schedules going on at one time), accountant, professional organizer, fashion designer (or at least stylist, someone has to break it to the 5 year old princess that circles, plaid, and paisley should not all be worn at the same time), pet care giver, pet groomer, Gardner, professional shopper, money saving consultant, interior decorator (we have to know how to rearrange the furniture to hide the art work on the walls), party planner, travel agent (how else do all of those vacations get planned), medic, wiper of runny noses, booboo kisser, monster chaser, stockpiler, and last but not least my daughter likes to tell me I am the best Mommy in the world!!
I am sure I left several things out, but I think I made a point. Before stopping to judge stay-at-home moms, people should take a moment to realize all that stay-at-home moms do. It is not just a simple job, that requires no ambition or drive. This is a full time, 24/7/365 job, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. There are no breaks, naps, sick days, or holidays. It is a hard job, but I would not trade it for the world. I feel blessed to be at home with my children.
So there Ms. registration lady, that is my job title. Along with being a blogger, freelance writer, and part-time nursery coordinator with my church. No I am not lazy or unemployed. I, along with all of the other mothers out there, have the most important job in the world, taking care of my children!!
Sorry everyone, I just needed to vent, and wanted to share.
If you see something I left off of the list, please leave a comment and let me know.

My Little Creation!!
This is what I made today. I went to Walmart and found this cute fabric, so I bought a yard of it. I came home, cut it down to size and made the dress. I used ribbon for the straps. Then I made a hair bow to match the colors of the dress. Needless to say, my Princess was super excited about her new dress, and it only took about 15 minutes to make. The fabric is wonderful, it already has the scrunchy part on the top, and a seam on the bottom. Basically all you have to do is cut it to fit, and sew it together. Then you add the straps.

Have you been super creative recently? If so, leave a comment and share what you made.

Race Day Pictures!!
Do you remember me telling you about my race last weekend? Well, here are a couple of pictures from the race. It was my first 5K and I finished in 35 minutes. I was very proud of myself for running the entire race, and not finishing last. I plan to do another race next month.

I am the short one on the left.

This is right after we crossed the finish line, I am out of breath, but I made it.

How To Recycle Baby Wipe Containers!!

What can you do with those old baby wipe containers? There are lots of things to use them for, so don't throw them out.
1. Use them to hold crayons and pencils.
2. Use them to hold ribbon. Pull a little of the ribbon out of the top, so you can see what you have without having to open the box all the way.
3. Place them in drawers to help organize the small stuff.
4. Store small toys like blocks and puzzle pieces.
5. Make a first aid kit for the car.
6. Cover in pretty paper or material and use to store coupons, scissors, and small list pad.
7. Use them for picture storage.
8. Use them to store receipts or recipes.
9. Use them as sand molds when you go to the beach.
10. When you go for a long car trip, fill them with activities for the children. You can make each child an individual box.
11. Wash them out well, and pack them with lunch or snack for the road. That way everything is in one box, and each child has their own.
12. Use them to store Kleenex in the car. They will hold up a little better than the boxes that tissue usually come in.
13. You can always use them to store homemade baby wipes.
Do you have more good uses for Baby Wipe Boxes? If so, I would love to hear about them. Leave a comment and share with everyone.

New To Blogging
I am new to the world of blogging. I have been reading some really great ones lately, and have learned so many valuable things. I am currently on a quest to live frugally, and save all of the money that I can. I have a family of five, that includes one in diapers, and one in pull-ups. I am a stay-at-home mom, so I do everything that I can to make sure our family is provided for, and save the most money, at the same time. I know there are several people out there just like me, who need to save all they can, so I am going to share my experiences, and some of the great deals that I find. Hopefully it will help others who are trying to live frugally too.
