The past two days I have been up to my eyes in scarves. My daughter is on a competition cheerleading squad, and their first competition was a couple of weeks ago. At the competition, I noticed a squad that had scarves that matched their colors.
If you have been reading my blog for a while, you probably know what went through my head, "I can do that". So, for the past two days I have been making scarves for the entire squad and some of the moms.
They are super simple. I picked out three fabrics, one is blue with sparkles, one is plain black, and one is plain blue.
With that done, next I cut slits in the fabric about every two inches or so. I did not cut through all three layers at the same time. I staggered the cuts to give it a more full look.
I have to say, I think they look pretty good, and the girls love them. What little girl doesn't like sparkles, right?
I am linking to these great parties.

That is easy! I think I might have to do something like that for my girls (or me;).
What fabric did you use? I've done this with two layers of fleece, but never thought of anything else. Super cute!
@ Beth D., the sparkly fabric was found in the dance and swim wear section at Joann's. It is stretchy. The black and plain blue were a polyester blend, I also got those from Joann's.
This is really really cute!! I am going to have to make one of these. love your blog , newest follower..
