Recycled bread crumb container!!

Okay, so lately I have been trying to find ways to recycle some of the items we have in our home, rather than sending them to the landfill. A while back, I made this candle holder. Since then, I have decided to use it to hold cotton balls on my bathroom counter. I wanted something that looked similar, but a little smaller to hold q-tips.

I had this bread crumb container in the cabinet, so I decided to use it as the base for my q-tip holder. I spray painted it brown, and once that was dry, I brushed on a little black and blotted it off. Once all of the paint was dry, I hot glued the glass onto the top.

I like the way it turned out, and that is one less piece of trash from our house. Have you found a creative way to recycle something?

I am linking to these great posts.

That turned out fantastic! I love repurposing containers, too. I haven't gotten this artsy yet, but you've definitely inspired me. Great ideas!

Wow, that is so cute! That is actually a very smart idea... I would have thought colored pencils, but I love the cotton ball, q-tip idea!

I never would have thought of this. It looks very stylish with the glass added to the top. Good going!

Smart and pretty! Thank you for the great ideas about re-using things we would otherwise throw away.
