Going Green Can Save You Green!!
Going green doesn't always have to cost you green. A simple and inexpensive way to move a little closer to the green side is to stop using paper towels. If you have a lot of towels around your house, pick out some of the old ones and break out the scissors. Cut your old towels up into smaller rags, and keep them in a kitchen drawer, or a container in the pantry. Instead of reaching for that roll of paper towels next time, grab a rag. When you are done, toss it in the laundry basket.
It may not seem like a big savings at first, but if you cut out one roll of paper towels per week that normally cost $1.29 per roll, in one year you will save a little over $67.00. I don't know about you, but I can think of many other places I could use that extra money in my budget.
