Frugal but meaningful Wedding gift?

Today is Thrifty Thursday and I wanted to talk about wedding gifts. My dear friend just got married last weekend. One of the gifts I gave her was a cookbook. I compiled some of my favorite recipes, and some of the ones that I know she really loves. I separated them into categories; appetizers, entrees, sweet stuff, and baked goods. I then typed them all into a word document, with cute cover pages. I gave it a sweet little title, and included a letter in the front of the book from me to her. I then printed it and took it to the UPS store and had it bound.
This was a super sweet, very meaningful gift that I know she will have for years to come.

When I give someone a gift I like to make it a special gift that I know they will treasure.

Do you have a special gift idea. Leave me a comment and let me know all about it.

Awesome! I would have loved such a thoughtful gift like that for my wedding :)

I've done a few Gifts in a Jar and tied a pretty ribbon and dish cloth around them for our teachers. Soup mix and brownies have been big hits so far :)

That's a fabulous idea. I give christmas ornaments I make. I have been doing that for the past 7 years. I just started selling my ornaments.
