My favorite parenting tip, never leave home with out food and drink for toddlers. Always keep wipies in the vehicle because you never who will need them. ;)
Thanks for the chance at the books. It would be nice to read them, I've heard of them both but never had a chance to actually read them.
favorite parenting tip - don't doubt yourself. listen to other's advice, but tune it out with confidence when it doesn't jive.
My favorite tip is to enjoy the stage they are in right now...Thanks!

My parenting tip has worked good for me. My daughter has had problems with not having good friends. So we started having them over once a month. She is aloud to invite 4-5 friends and each month is themed. This month we had a Halloween cookie making. Now she has a group of friends that she fits in with and in return they also invite her over their houses.
well as a mom of a 10 week i dont really have any tips yet, except just to love 'em, even when they are screaming! hence the need for the book and advice!
thanks for the giveaway chance!
Always be Supportive and Encouraging, most of all Loving :)
Having a strong self-esteem base is vital to a child.
as a mom of nine, I am going to say make your motto/mantra... Loving firmness!
If you give an inch they will take a mile. So mean what you say and do what you say.

My mother said to me when I was pregnant with my first child....
"the baby will survive in spite of you, not because of you"
Something that rings in my head all the time now that I'm on #3

These look like great books! Please enter me. :)
One of my favorite parenting tips-
Take LOTS of pictures! They grow up and change so fast, especially in the early years. It's really fun to be able to go back and look at the pictures to see how they've changed. Plus as they get older, your kids will really enjoy this themselves.
Thanks for the entry!

I have 3..a)don't ever let the kids get too quiet! If it is too quiet they are up to something horrific! b)...always trust your gut and your first instinct..they are almost always right!c) if in doubt don't hesitate to call the nurse! She always knows what to do, and always knows how to calm your nerves!!

Consistency! It is a lot easier said than done, though.
Never discipline in anger. I'm also a subscriber! stonefox@pobox.com
My favorite parenting tip is this: never wake up in a bad mood with your kids (especially on a school day). I have always despised seeing parents yelling at their kids in the early mornings...send them off to school with a great feeling!!!

My favorite parenting tip is to not make everything a battle. It is really hard for me to let go of control!
My favorite parenting tip is to pick your battles. If my toddler wants to wear stripes and plaids together I let her versus fighting her to put on something else.
my fav. tip would be to always tell you child you love him/her. it goes a long way and especially when disciplining them!
My favorite parenting tip is to take a moment to breathe and remember it will all work out in the end.

gitrecca (at) gmail (dot) com
really listen to what they are saying, let them talk
daisy_collections(at)yahoo(dot)com
get some sleep! it's hard with little ones, but you being tired and cranky doesn't help.
ebienic(at)hotmail(dot)com
My favorite tip is to bring spare clothes! You never know when your baby will have a diaper blowout in their only outfit, or spit up ALL over your blouse!
My favorite parenting tip ... say you're sorry when you screw up. It's ok for the kids to know that Mommy and Daddy are human and make mistakes.
My best parenting tip, TELL YOUR CHILD YOU LOVE THEM EVERY DAY

Count to 10 before speaking to your child to correct him if it's not a life and death situation. It will calm your voice and ease their reaction!

I learned this one while spending the summer with my sister and her kids: Make sure you have two of everything. If you give kids different things, they're just gonna want what the other one has.
