Super Thrifty Curtains!!

I have been searching for some type of window treatment for my bedroom. I did not want something extravagant, just something simple. I saw several posts around blog world about people making curtains from painters drop cloths, so I decided I would give it a try.

I went to Home Depot a while back and they had a value pack of drop cloths, two for the price of one. I grabbed it!! Once I got home I measured the length that I needed, and took an existing panel that I had to get the width.

I cut down the center so that I could use the existing hem on the other sides. Once I sewed the seam down the side, I folded over the top and added a seam for the rod to go through. It was that simple.

I needed really long curtains, and was able to get two out of each cloth.

To hang them, I bought a dowel rod and spray painted it.
(Excuse the wrinkles, but I have not had time to address that yet.)

This was the end result. My total cost breaks down to $2.25 per panel, and for the length of the panels that is a great price.
