Well, January has come and gone, have you made your budget out yet? Budgets are a very important part of living a secure and frugal life. A few things to remember when making out your budget are:
- Make sure to include all of your expenses, including birthdays, anniversaries, car insurance, holidays, parties, and other special events.
- When figuring in your monthly utility expenses, make sure you take into consideration any spikes. This would include the rise in electric bills during the summer and rise in heating bills during the winter.
When adding your income column, if you are working with an income that varies weekly. Figure out what a base income is. This is an amount that you know will be in your check every pay period. If there happens to be extra one week, place that in a savings account. By creating your budget this way you can adjust your expenses to stay within your budget.
