Saving 101!!

Hi, and welcome. If you are new to shopping with coupons, and shopping the sales, it can be a little confusing. Below is a list of things that should make it a little easier.

CVS terminology:
ECB, Extra Care Buck: These are coupons that can be spent like cash on your next purchase at CVS. You earn them by purchasing special products each week. These items are highlighted in the weekly sales ad.

Walgreens terminology:
RR, Register Reward: This is much like the ECB at CVS. When you buy a qualifying item you get a coupon when you check out, good on your next purchase.

General terminology:
OOP, Out Of Pocket: The amount of cash you actually pay for an item.

BOGO, Buy One Get One: When you buy one item you get another item either free, or at a discount.

MQ, Manufactures Coupon: These are coupons that manufactures release for products.

IP, Internet Print: Coupons that you can print from your computer.

RP, Red Plum: A coupon insert in the weekly paper.

SS, Smart Source: A coupon insert in the weekly paper.

P&G, Procter and Gamble: A coupon insert in some weekly papers.

Home Mailer, mail pieces that are sent directly to your mail box.

exp., expiration date, the date a coupon expires.
