Walmart Wednesday

I know it is Thursday, but I did not make it to Walmart until today. This is what I got. There was also a can of dog food, but I donated it to the animal shelter. The bunch of bananas was also a lot larger, but the kids had a couple for snack, and I made baby food with four of them. I also had a sweet potato, but forgot to take the picture before I popped it in the oven to make baby food with. My total before coupons was, $52.02. My total after coupons was $29.96. I was happy. These are the coupons that I used:

(2) Free Hot Dogs when you buy 3 Kraft products (I bought Kool-aid)
(1) Free wheat thins why you buy 3 Kraft products (I bought Kool-aid for this too)
(1) Free can of mighty dog dog food
(2) $0.50 on magic eraser
(3) $1.00 on Ronzoni pasta (this made the noodles $0.50 a box, that is a great price)
(2) $3.00 when you buy 2 Huggies clean team wipes
(1) $1.50 cheerios coupon, found in a pack of pampers (this made the cereal $0.48)
(1) $1.00 on two packs of taco seasoning
(1) $1.00 on butterball fried turkey

My total would have been less, but I had to splurge on my coffee. It is probably the only name brand product that I buy without coupons, because they very rarely put them out. However, this is my special treat for me, and I think every mom deserves a special treat every once in a while. The reason for the two cans of Lysol and the two boxes of Magic erasers is that my two preschoolers need them for their preschool class that they start next Tuesday, and boy are they excited. All in All, I think it was a pretty good trip. Have you had a great shopping trip lately, leave me a comment and let me know all about it. I love to hear about every ones great deals.

I LOVE coupons! Sometimes I think people think I'm crazy for having anywhere between 15-25 coupons when I go grocery shopping! But when you see what your total was BEFORE coupons and then your total AFTER coupons it's a wonderful feeling! hehe Thank you for all your great tips!

I love them too Tiffany, sometimes the people in line behind me are not very happy, because they have to wait a little longer. I don't mind though, if I am saving money, it is worth it.

I don't fret about people in line behind me--we are all customers and I deserve my few minutes with the cashier just like anyone else.

I also agree with you on the treat thing----mommas and daddys deserve their treat! I like french vanilla cappacino mixes. I rarely am out of the house early in the morning to drive up to a tim hortons and buy myself one...so I started buyting the fancey expensive mixes at the grocery store and told myself it is my morning treat!
